　　I saw a man, about 30 years old, hobbling(蹒跚) down the road when I was shopping in town. He was homeless and seemed to have a pain (疼)in his leg. I watched him for a few minutes but wasn’t able to help that day.

　　All that evening, I thought about his life and story. Later, I decided that if I met him again,

　　I would help him. I saw him in the street the very next day! I saw him put some money into a donation box(捐款箱) . Then I quickly went to the cash machine(自动取款机) to get some money. With money in my pocket, I followed him. I heard him ask a lady for money. He said he had ulcers(溃疡) in his leg and he wanted to see a doctor. The lady couldn’t help but ask him about his problem.

　　I walked up to him after that. Then I put the folded(折叠的) money in his hand so he wouldn’t feel uncomfortable. I didn’t say anything. We just looked at each other and he said, “God bless you!”

　　I can’t tell you how good I felt to help others. I hope he smiled a lot that day.
