At around 12:30 a.m. Thursday morning, I began to give out cookies to strangers in New York. I first gave a cookie to the front desk man. He looked in the bag and too the biggest cookie he could find and said “Thank you”. I thought that’s the biggest cookie in the bag and that’s a little selfish. But I smiled and was happy to give him a cookie.
I gave another cookie to the woman standing at the desk and she said, “But I don’t eat cookies, thank you all the same.” I gave her a smile.
On my way home by taxi, I gave the driver a cookie. He declined. I gave it to him again. After several times, he accepted it and said, “Thank you! Thank you very much, Sir.”
