Recently，the Student Union held a volunteer activity to a farm in the suburb in order to raise the students' awareness of labor on last Friday. And there were a GREat number of volunteers，who took an active part in this event from freshmen to seniors and offered much assistance to the farm. The detail information concerning this activity is as follows.
At the beginning, that morning saw a lecture on agriculture to all of volunteers ，so that they grasped the significance of agriculture ，which is unfamiliar to those living in the urban areas. Some of them, then, were arranged to assist farmers to clean the barn, feed animals and plant vegetables, enabling them to understand nothing can be got without pains. The other of the volunteers learned to cook a delicious meal with the help from warmhearted farmers, which is a driving force for cultivating the independence of youngsters.
Generally, all students had a enjoyable time in the farm and learned much knowledge from this meaningful activity. And they also look forward to the next chance to be a volunteer, which means responsibility and courage and brings them an experience that is the most precious asset
