　　Jim was twelve years old. One day his friend Iris asked him to come to her birthday party. Before Jim left home, his mother said to him, “be sure to be polite at the party, dear! Don’t want this or that, don’t want more!” “All right, mum.” Answered Jim.

　　There were a lot of children at iris’ party. Iris’ mother gave them some cakes to eat. But she forgot to give Jim some. Jim waited politely, but only for a few minutes. Then he held his plate up in the air and said loudly, “does anyone want a clean plate? I have one!” Iris’s mother saw him and his empty plate, she said, “oh, sorry, I forgot you!”
