  又到了开心的毕业季...

  各种东奔西跑找工作

  就是没发现简历上问题还挺影响人生的

  李凌昊老师看着它们忧桑的受不鸟了...

  come on,别再像个loser

If you’ve been following my channel, I guess you probably know that a couple of weeks a go I did a show on how to prepare for a job interview in English, and many of you asked me questions about resumes afterwards.

So today I’ll be addressing this issue, and give you guys some tips and examples on how to work on your resume.

I assume that most of you guys out there maybe don’t so much working experience. This episode will be specifically tailored to those who don’t have a rich working history and want to land an internship or a beginner’s position.

Objective / Career Objective / Job Goal / Profile

  职业目标 / 个人简介

Your goal is to grab the employer’s attention using one or two clear, compelling sentences, highlighting who you are and what you have to offer.

Try to find keywords in the job description and focus on those when describing your knowledge and abilities.

Do NOT write in first person. Write in third-person (第三人称) instead.

  Example I:

Energetic and passionate graduate student working towards a Master's in Mass Communications at the University of Florida. Aiming to use my knowledge of advertising, PR, international communications, and my data research skills to obtain the PR internship at your company.

  Example II:

Hard-working student (3.8/4.0 GPA) from University of Southern California who possess proven XXX and XXX(软件名) skills. Seeking to apply my computer programing abilities to the entry level position for software developing at your organization.

  Education 教育背景

If your GPA is above average, be sure to include it in this section. It tells the employer that you have good work ethics and can be trusted with important tasks.

Also, you can list some of the RELEVANT(相关的) courses for this position so that the manager will have a better idea of what kind of knowledge or skills you have.

  Example:

  University of Florida, Gainesville, FL

Master's of Arts in Mass Communications, 2015-Present (Expected Graduation Date)

  · GPA: 3.5/4.0

  · Relevant Course Work: XXX, XXX, XXX, XXX

  · Honors & Awards & ACTivities: XXX, XXX, XXX
